Web Presence Redevelopment
It all begins with an idea. For The Mariners’ Museum and Park, there were a lot of big ideas, and big dreams. The aspirational nature of the organization — as well as the breadth of its collection and history with audiences — gave way to myriad opportunities for value creation. One of the challenges that came with these opportunities over its 80+ year history, however, was the management of a sprawling web presence that spanned large topics, cultures, and projects. During 2021-2022, I served as a coordinator and lead content producer for the redevelopment of its web presence, resulting in a unified online experience for audiences of the Museum and of its Park. The newly formed website sported a modern design, an intuitive information architecture, and sparked a program to crowdsource content creation among staff, resulting in a sustainable platform for the Museum and Park to speak from its unique voice. https://www.marinersmuseum.org
